Jenny Wren

Each morning I wake up

To the sound of a Jenny wren,

‘Morning, Jenny!

Flickers ‘cross the sky

With the light of the Summer sun,

That is when he

Announces loud to the world

He is the happiest he’s ever been;

Warbling out to the world,

“I love you! I love you, Jenny Wren!”

Today I watched her work

In her garden without a care,

‘Morning, Jenny!

Flowers bloomed and butterflies

Danced around her there,

Every penny

I own, I would give up

To spend eternity in your arms;

As I sing to the world,

“I love you! I love you, Jenny Wren!”
